This project saw Dovebrace remove multiple chilled water downflow cabinets and replace them with new full function and cooling only DX systems.

The project lasted just short of 12 months, with all works undertaken during normal office hours and within populated data suites and office areas. Military style planning and liaisons with the main contractor and their client proved to be the benchmark of success of this prestigious contract.

The completion of installing over 30 refrigeration circuits with pipe runs of over 70m was achieved on time, budget and without incident, a testament to Dovebrace's ethics.

This Data centre fit out was a result of expansion of our clients broadband service and the shortfall of available cooling from a central chiller plant.

Taking our clients requirements and heat gains on board, Dovebrace designed a system for each room that would achieve our clients room temperature demands and also incorporate an additional back up facility to maintain this in the event of a unit failure. Along with the DX cooling downflow units, we installed humidity control, fire suppression system extract including BMS links and fresh air ventilation.

All of our works were conducted in occupied buildings with no disruption to our clients business.

This data centre project was to be a fast-track installation due to the clients shortfall in cooling capacity available.

The existing "live" computer rooms were to have additional DX cooling installed utilising downflow cabinet units and external condensers. Humidity was controlled by the installation of humidifiers to the existing ventilation system. UPS Rooms were also cooled utilising upflow units all with BMS interface technology.

Lift & Shift of all major plant items was carried out by Dovebrace with management supervision.
